Our Services
Chemotherapy and Targeted therapy
Our goal during pet cancer treatment services is to ensure the highest quality of life possible for every pet undergoing treatment. Chemotherapy is medication administered intravenously or orally. In our pets it’s almost always given in palliative doses, compared to humans, and as a result dogs and cats handle chemotherapy remarkably well. We regularly administer chemotherapy for most common cancers including chemotherapy for Lymphoma, Osteosarcoma, including both chemotherapy and Palladia™️ for Mast Cell Tumors and other cancers. We also offer the Stelfonta® injection for Mast Cell Tumors for patients that qualify.
We value our patient’s and our staff’s safety and use closed system transfer devices with all intravenous treatments.
Immunotherapy
Cancer vaccines can alter a dog or cat’s immune system to attack their own malignant cancer cells. The first and most common cancer vaccine is the melanoma vaccine or ONCEPTⓇ. These vaccines are quick and painless outpatient needle-less treatments.
Education and Support
A cancer diagnosis can be complex and confusing. We aim to support owners as much as possible from the initial consultation through the changes that occur throughout treatment. We want families to always feel informed so that they can make the best possible decisions for their pet.
Cancer Diagnostics and Screening Tests
At the initial consultation and throughout treatment, we have access to state-of-the-art in-house laboratory tests, including microscopic evaluation of blood and tumor cells. We also routinely perform flow cytometry, cytology, genetic testing, ultrasound, and radiography.
Radiation Therapy Consultations
Treeline Veterinary Cancer Care does not provide Radiation Therapy, however we do provide consultation about which cancers are most likely to respond to radiation. We can also facilitate your pet’s appointment at radiation facilities in the area. After radiation is complete we will provide long-term support and cancer monitoring and restaging.
